This is the most important shortcut. It allows you to move the drawing without deselecting your active takeoff tool.
Zoom In/Out: Mouse Scroll Wheel(Up/Down)
The most intuitive way to zoom. The view centers on your cursor.
Takeoff Tool Selection Shortcuts
Many platforms assign number keys or letter keys to the primary tools.

Area Takeoff: A
Linear Takeoff: L
Count Takeoff: C

Delete: Delete or Backspace key (after selecting an item)
Drawing Mode Shortcuts
Finish Takeoff: Enter or Double-Click
Ends a linear or area takeoff
Cancel Takeoff: Esc
Cancels the takeoff you are currently drawing
Orthogonal/Straight Lines (Snap): Shift(Hold)
While drawing a linear or area takeoff, holding Shift will often lock the line to horizontal, vertical, or 45-degree angles
How to Learn Them?
Hover Over Icons: Hover your mouse over a tool icon in the toolbar. A tooltip will often appear, showing the name of the tool and its keyboard shortcut in parentheses.
Practice: Make a conscious effort to use one or two new shortcuts each day. Within a week, they will become muscle memory, and your efficiency will skyrocket.
