Togal makes it easy to re-classify an existing takeoff object—whether it’s an area polygon, linear takeoff, or count item. You can either create a new classification and assign it, or reassign the object to an existing classification.
To reassign an object to a new classification:
Use this when you realize the object belongs to a new scope item that doesn’t exist yet.
Select the object
Left-click the area/linear/count object you want to reclassify.Right-click to open options
Right-click on the selected object.Choose “Create and assign”
Click Create and assign.Create the new classification
A Create New Classification window will pop up. Create the new classification, and Togal will automatically reassign the selected object to it.
To reassign an object to an existing classification:
Use this when the correct classification already exists.
Select the object
Left-click the object to reclassify.Right-click to open options
Right-click on the selected object.Select the new classification to reassign
Hover over the name of the classification or Recently Used, and select the classification you want, or
Use the search bar to find an existing classification and select it.
Tip: You can reclassify multiple objects at once, as long as they are all selected.
