In Togal, the standard workflow is to create a classification first, then perform your takeoff. If you ever assign something incorrectly—or your scope changes—you can easily reclassify an existing takeoff at any time.
To reassign the classification:
Select the takeoff
Use the Select Tool (arrow) to click on the area, linear, or count takeoff on the drawing that you want to change.
You can select and reassign a group of takeoffs at once. Just hold Shift and left-click each object, or use the Polygonal Lasso Tool to draw a shape around all the items you want to change.
Assign a new classification
Right-click the selected objects to open the classification options. You can:Choose Create and assign to create a new classification and apply it to the selected objects, or
Assign the objects to an existing classification (from Recently used, or by searching for the classification).
Result: The selected takeoffs will instantly be re-assigned.
It will move from its old classification group to the new one in the Quantities Panel.
Its appearance (color, fill, symbol) will update to match the properties of the new classification.
This flexibility allows you to draw first and categorize later, or to easily correct errors without having to delete and redraw your work.
