Togal’s Image Search uses AI to find and count repeated symbols or shapes on your construction documents. It’s especially useful for quickly locating and counting items like door tags, window tags, fixtures, and other repeated plan symbols.
How to use image search:
Select the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the left-side toolbar menu.
A pop-up will appear with an option to select between Text or Image Search. Select the image search option.
Your cursor will turn into a crosshair. You can now draw a selection box around the item/symbol you would like to use for your search.
Togal will scan your drawings to find all matching images.
If the selected item/symbol contains any associated text, Togal will automatically detect it and give you the option to filter your final results based on the text detected.
Once the matching images are found, you will have the ability to convert the results into a count classification. You can either create a new classification or use an existing classification by scrolling through the list.
The history of images you have searched for will be saved for you to use across the project.
Tip:
Always review the highlighted matches before converting to a count, especially when symbols look similar across the sheet or when the sheet includes a legend that should not be included in your takeoff.
