Wall Centerline is an AI-generated linear takeoff within Togal. It traces the centerline of walls on a floor plan. Once those wall centerlines are created, AutoClassify can automatically sort them into common wall categories based on where they appear in the plan, so you don’t have to manually separate wall types.
The auto-classified wall centerlines include:
Exterior
Shaft
Corridor
Interior
Demising
Bathroom
When to Use AutoClassify
Use AutoClassify when you already have Wall Centerline lines generated and you want a faster way to break them into logical groups for estimating and reporting (e.g., separating corridor walls from interior partitions).
How to Use AutoClassify
Select the wall centerline lines
Select all wall centerline segments you want to classify (you can select multiple at once).Right-click and choose Auto Classify
Right-click on the selection and click Auto Classify.Review results in the Quantities Panel
Togal automatically assigns each line to one of the categories (Exterior, Corridor, etc.). You’ll see the updated classifications reflected in the Quantities Panel.
Tips
Always review the output. Auto classification is fast, but you should review the results to confirm they match the plan requirements.
If a few segments are miscategorized, you can manually reassign those line items afterward.
AutoClassify works best when the plan is clearly labeled and wall geometry is clean.
