Drawing Comparison Tool

The Drawing Comparison Tool allows you to overlay two drawing sheets and visually highlight what changed between them. This is useful for quickly spotting revisions without manually flipping back and forth.

To use the tool:

  1. Enter Compare mode
Click the Compare Mode button in the top-right corner to activate comparison mode.

  2. Add an overlay drawing
Click the “+ Add overlay” button, then choose the drawing sheet you want to overlay.

  3. Review the differences
Togal will display the comparison results using the color highlights below:

    • Differences are highlighted in blue for overlay layer and red for original layer

    • Items common to both drawings appear in grey

  4. If the two drawings don’t line up well in Compare mode, use the Align Image tool on the left control menu to adjust the overlay so key elements match with the base drawing.

  5. When the alignment looks correct, click Confirm alignment and continue reviewing changes.

Tips:

  1. You can quickly toggle between the two drawings by hitting "T" on your keyboard.

  2. When you switch views, the takeoffs from the original drawing will remain visible on top of the overlay so you can review changes without losing your takeoff context.
