The Quantities Panel is your primary interface for managing and understanding the data you generate. It’s a real-time, interactive list that sits alongside your drawing in the Editor.
Key Features and Structure
Hierarchical Grouping:
The panel is organized by Classification. Each classification you create (e.g., “Carpet,” “Interior Walls,” “Type A Light Fixture”) acts as a folder.
The top-level classification shows the total quantity for that item across the filtered range (e.g., 4,803.2 SF of Carpet on the current drawing).
You can expand a classification to see the individual takeoff instances that make up that total.
Real-Time Updates: As you draw, deduct, or count on the drawing, the quantities in this panel update instantly.
Interactivity (Drawing <> Panel):
Panel to Drawing: Clicking on a specific takeoff instance in the panel will select and highlight it on the drawing.
Drawing to Panel: Clicking on a takeoff on the drawing will select and highlight its corresponding entry in the panel.
Sorting and Visibility Control:
You have the option to organize the quantities list by different order, either alphabetically, by specific quantity, or even manually.
You have the option to control what data is displayed using the eye icon.
Actions and Editing:
This panel is where you can edit the properties of a takeoff (like its color).
You can right-click a classification to access a menu with actions like Delete,Rename, or Duplicate.
It’s also where you apply or change the classification of a selected takeoff.
