What's New
Release 3.2.35 adds a powerful new capability to assemblies — formulas can now reference other formulas within the same assembly — along with fixes that make Excel export drawing selection and drawing display more reliable.
Key Highlights:
Assembly Formula Referencing: Reference the result of one formula inside another in the same assembly
Reliable Excel Export Selection: Deselect drawings in the Excel export dropdown without them reselecting themselves
Cleaner Page Dragging: Page thumbnails no longer get cut off when dragging pages
Accurate Drawing Display: High-resolution drawing tiles load correctly without stale cached images
New Features
Assembly Formula Inner Referencing
Assembly formulas can now reference the result of another formula within the same assembly — the same way quantities already work in the standard classification panel.
When you edit a formula in the assembly panel, the other quantities on that assembly are available as referenceable values.
For example, one quantity can calculate the total linear feet of a plate material (wall length × number of plate rows), and a second quantity can reference that result and divide it by the board length to produce a piece count without rewriting the first formula. If an upstream value changes, dependent formulas update automatically, and the referenced values flow through to the export as their own columns. Circular references are detected and blocked with a clear error message.
This makes complex assemblies much easier to build, audit, and maintain: shared logic lives in one place instead of being duplicated across quantities, so a change only has to be made once.
Bug Fixes
Deselect Drawings Reliably in Excel Export
Fixed an issue where drawings couldn't be deselected in the Excel export drawing dropdown when using the "Drawings with takeoff" option — unchecking a drawing would immediately reselect it. You can now select and deselect drawings reliably, so your Excel export includes exactly the drawings you choose.
Cleaner Page Thumbnails When Dragging
Fixed a visual issue where dragged page thumbnails could appear cut off or overlap other interface elements while reordering pages. Thumbnails now display cleanly as you drag.
Reliable High-Resolution Drawing Tiles
Fixed an issue where high-resolution drawing tiles could display outdated cached images. Drawing tiles now load the current image correctly.
