Cut & Fill tool is used to cut out a space and fill it with an existing or new area classification. To use the tool, select the Cut/Subtract icon, outline the space you would like to remove, then right click to fill in with a area classification.

The Cut & Fill tool allows you to cut out an area from an existing area classification and fill it in with a new classification.
To use the tool:
- Select the area you would like to cut from.
- Click on the "Cut/Subtract" tool in the left hand menu or hit the shortcut key "C" and begin cutting out the area of the existing area classification.
- Select the cut area, right click and select one of two options:
- Assign classification and fill: Select a previously created area classification to fill the cut area
- Create and fill: Create a new area classification and fill in the cut area with the new area classification
Tip: You can copy & paste the cut area within the same classification by selecting the cut area, hitting Ctrl + C on your keyboard to copy and then hitting Ctrl+V in order to paste.
You can delete a Cut/Subtract area, by selecting the area and hitting the Delete key.
