The Cut & Fill tool

Cut & Fill tool is used to cut out a space and fill it with an existing or new area classification. To use the tool, select the Cut/Subtract icon, outline the space you would like to remove, then right click to fill in with a area classification.

The Cut & Fill tool allows you to cut out an area from an existing area classification and fill it in with a new classification. 

In order to use the Cut & Fill tool, select the area, click on the Cut/Subtract tool in the left hand menu or hit the shortcut key "C" and begin cutting out the area of the existing area classification. Then select the cut area, right click and select one of two options:

1. Assign classification and fill: Select a previously created area classification to fill the cut area
2. Create and fill hole: Create a new area classification and fill in the cut area with the new area classification
