Togal's new AI-based Pattern Search can find area polygons based on the specified pattern on your plans.
Pattern Search represents the latest application of Togal's AI technology. This new capability facilitates the identification and creation of area polygons from specified patterns in construction plans.
Note: Pattern Search is currently available in a Beta version, indicating it is under active development with anticipated updates and improvements based on user feedback. Users are encouraged to explore the tool’s functionality and provide feedback for future enhancements.
We have provided additional tips below on how to maximize the use of the tool.
Accessing Pattern Search:
- To use Pattern Search, locate the search icon (magnifying glass symbol) on the left-hand toolbar menu.
- Switch to the “Pattern” tab to engage the pattern search functionality.
Now draw a box over the pattern/color you would like the AI to search and identify for you:
Using Pattern Search:
- Activate the tool by drawing a box around the pattern or color you wish the AI to identify within your plans.
- After the AI concludes its search, you have the option to deselect any incorrectly identified areas.
- The identified patterns can then be converted into an Area Classification, either by creating a new classification or by assigning to an existing one.
Tips & Tricks on how to maximize the potential of the Pattern Search:
- Applicability: The tool is suitable for analyzing Flooring, Ceiling, and Elevation plans, demonstrating its utility across various types of construction documents.
- Density and Accuracy: Patterns characterized by a higher density are generally identified with greater accuracy by the AI.
- Color Utilization for Sparse Patterns: For patterns that are widely spaced, incorporating the pattern’s color into the search criteria may yield more precise results.
