Release Notes - v.3.2.4 - March 19, 2026

Release 3.2.4 delivers a major upgrade to the Assemblies experience, making it easier and faster to build, manage, and apply assemblies across your projects. This release also introduces Trade Templates in the Assemblies Library, giving you access to pre-built assembly configurations for common trade work. Several bug fixes improve reliability across drawing management and the editor.

Key highlights:

  • Improved Assembly Workflow: Search, sort, and filter when applying assemblies to classifications plus auto-import to your project
  • Trade Templates: Browse and apply pre-built assembly templates organized by trade directly from the Assemblies Library
  • Dynamic Assembly Properties: Reference classification dimensions like height directly in assembly component formulas

New Features

Trade Templates in the Assemblies Library

Pre-built assembly templates are now available directly in the Assemblies Library. Templates are organized by trade category, with collapsible folders and subfolders (e.g., Load Bearing, Rated) so you can quickly find the right starting point for your assemblies. Browse templates by trade, import them into your project, and customize as needed — saving significant setup time on new projects.

Reference Classification Dimensions in Assembly Components

You can now use classification properties like height directly in assembly component fields. Simply type = in a dimension field to switch to formula mode, then reference variables like Height_FT to dynamically link assembly component dimensions to your classification properties. This is especially useful for setting stud heights or wall sheet dimensions that should match the classification's wall height.

Improved Assembly Search and Application

Applying assemblies to classifications is now significantly more streamlined. The Assemblies tab in the Classification Properties modal now includes:

  • Search: Find assemblies by name or description
  • Sorting: Sort by last updated or alphabetically
  • Project filter: Toggle "Project Assemblies Only" to narrow results to assemblies already in your project
  • Quick removal: Easily delete an assembly assignment directly from the classification

Note: Assemblies is sold as an add-on to your Togal subscription. Interested in using Assemblies? Reach out to your account manager for more details.

Auto-Import Assemblies to Project

When you apply an assembly from your library to a classification, it's now automatically added to your Project Assemblies folder in the Quantity Panel — no extra import step required.

Improvements

Enhanced 3D Assembly Graphic

The 3D assembly preview has been refined: the bottom plate height is now more proportional, metal framing displays correctly when selected (instead of defaulting to wood), multiple drywall layers are rendered when configured, and each component is color-coded to match its assigned material.

Waste Factor Display

When a global waste factor is enabled on an assembly, the percentage value now displays in each component's waste factor input, making it easier to see and override at the component level.

Resource Management in Assemblies

You can now delete materials, equipment, and labor resources you've created directly from the resource list. A confirmation prompt protects against accidental deletions, and related component assignments are properly handled.

Export View Loads Classifications Independently

The Export view now loads classifications on its own, without requiring you to first open the Quantity Panel. Navigating directly to a project's export link now shows classification filters immediately.

Faster File Processing

Behind-the-scenes improvements to how uploaded files are processed — including asynchronous tiling and queue-based page processing — result in more reliable and efficient handling of large PDF uploads.

Togal Bug Fixes

  • Fixed: Legend Editing in the Canvas

Resolved an issue where right-clicking the legend no longer displayed the option to edit it. You can once again right-click the legend to customize which classifications and quantities are shown.

  • Fixed: Page Crash in Filters Modal

Fixed a bug where applying a filter, then opening the Filters modal again and applying a second filter would cause the page to crash.

  • Fixed: Manual Drawing Reordering

Drag-and-drop reordering of drawings on the Sets page is working again. You can once again rearrange drawings by dragging thumbnails to your preferred order.

  • Fixed: PDF Upload Ordering

The bug was fixed for uploading multiple pages. Now, when uploading a multipage file, pages remain in their original order instead of being rearranged by file size. For multipage files, the default order of uploaded pages is important so you don’t lose track of your files.

  • Fixed: "Next Page" Navigation in Folders

The Next Page / Previous Page navigation in the drawing view now correctly follows folder sorting, so you won't unexpectedly jump to a drawing in a different folder.

  • Fixed: Organization Dropdown on Sets Page

Removed an organization dropdown that was incorrectly appearing on the Sets page. This dropdown is only intended for the Projects page.

  • Fixed: Assemblies Display in Classification Modal

The Assemblies tab in the Classification Properties modal now correctly displays all assigned materials, not just the first two. The "+ Add Assembly" button has also been moved to the top for easier access.

  • Fixed: Duplicate Assemblies After Import

Importing an assembly from the library no longer causes a duplicate entry to appear in the list.
