1. Multiple classification sets are supported in the classification library
Classification sets show up in the Library Panel. You can drag and drop classification items and groups from the Library Panel to the adjacent Quantities Panel in order to set up the classification structure for your takeoff. Prior to this release, you could have only a single classification set, and it had to be shared with all users in your company's Togal account. Now, with this latest release, you can create as many sets as you want. Classifications sets can also be for the Organization (shared with all people in your organization's Togal account) or Private (seen only by you).

What are classification sets good for?
In a nutshell, they save you time! Here's how:
- They let you re-use work from other projects instead of typing in classification names all over again.
- They let colleagues share their work with each other.
- They let you and/or your organization create standard templates for classifications that are tailored for various trades and/or project-types. These templates can then be easily accessed and re-used
How do I create classification sets?
- Go to Library in the top-nav and create them on the Library page
2. Changes to the main navigation
Togal's main navigation has changed from being oriented vertically on the left, to being horizontal on the top. This new placement gives our UI more room for pages that benefit from the full width of the page.
(Note: Togal has 2 roles: Admins and Users. What you see in your main navigation is dependent on your role.)
Here is the new Admin view of the main navigation ("top-nav") with Projects selected:
Other menu items seen by Admins are Library and Settings. Library is the new name for what used to be called Settings, which in reality had one item: a single organization-level classification set. Now that we support multiple classification sets, we decided to rename this to better describe what's there.
3. Collision-prevention due to multiple tabs open or multiple users on the same drawing set
Occasionally, bad things can happen, such as losing classifications, when there are multiple tabs open on the same drawing, or when more than one user is in the same drawing or drawing-set. The reason for this is how Togal currently saves your work. Therefore, for the next few weeks, we're restricting usage in a drawing set o one user in one tab at a time. However, we realize that our users want to be able use Togal in multiple browser tabs and/or with multiple colleagues. We're working on an improved saving mechanism that will allow for this, as well as a whole bunch of new collaboration features, which we expect to release in the next few weeks.
4. Improvements in showing high-resolution as you zoom in
We're happy to be getting lots of compliments from users who've noticed how sharp and clear we now display drawings in the canvas. We put a lot of work into that improvement (processing files so we can display in much higher resolutions on your screen), which was released in June. However, there were some cases where things got a bit "stuck" when you zoomed in, where parts of the drawing looked blurry while other parts looked crisp as expected. We fixed that.
5. The Quantities Panel is better about handling long text strings and big numbers
If you have long names for your classifications and/or big numbers for quantities, the text-handling in the Quantities Panel has been improved to accommodate that.
6. Several fixes
Here are some notable fixes in this releases:
- Sometimes users couldn't re-upload a file they had previously updated. Fixed.
- The Togaling process is better at creating and closing polygons on areas with open boundaries (also known as "fictitious walls" -- email us at support@togal.com if you're curious and want to know more).
- The measuring tool duplicated objects. Fixed.
