Project Dashboard

Landing screen that lists all projects. Used to create, open, star, duplicate, or archive projects.

Project

A container that holds all drawings, takeoffs, exports, and collaborators for a single job.

Create Project

Action used to start a new project and define basic settings such as name and measurement system.

Project Menu

Per-project screen used to upload drawings, organize drawing sets and folders, and manage sheets.

Drawing Set

A grouping container used to organize drawings and track revisions or phases.

Default Set

Automatically created drawing set where drawings are placed if no other set is specified.

Folder (within Drawing Set)

Sub-folder inside a drawing set used to organize drawings by trade, discipline, or scope.

Drawing Sheet

An individual page from a PDF set that can be opened for takeoff work.

Sheet List

List of all drawing sheets within the current set or folder.

Grid View

Displays drawing sheets as thumbnails for visual browsing.

List View

Displays drawing sheets in a row-based list with sheet metadata such as name and date.

Upload Drawings

Action used to add PDF drawings to a project, drawing set, or folder.

Auto-Rename Drawings

Tool that automatically extracts sheet numbers and titles from drawing title blocks.

Rotate Drawings

Rotates selected drawing sheets clockwise or counterclockwise.

Move to Set

Moves selected drawings into a different drawing set.

Move to Folder

Moves selected drawings into a specific folder within a drawing set.

Sort Drawings

Organizes drawings by number, title, upload order, or last edited date.

Drawing Editor

Workspace opened when a drawing sheet is selected, where takeoffs are performed.

Drawing Canvas

Central area of the Drawing Editor where the PDF drawing is displayed.

Top Navigation Bar

Static bar at the top of the Drawing Editor showing drawing context, navigation, and sharing controls.

Drawing Menu

Vertical menu opened from the top navigation bar used to browse and switch between drawing sheets.

Term

Definition / Usage

Control Menu (Left Toolbar)

Left-side vertical toolbar containing navigation, drawing, editing, measurement, and AI/search tools.

Select Tool / Edit Tool (ESC)

Default interaction tool used to select, move, edit, reclassify, or right-click existing takeoffs and interface elements. Press Esc to return to Select mode from any drawing tool.

Pan Tool (Q)

Moves the drawing view without editing or drawing takeoffs.

Temporary Pan (Spacebar or Middle Mouse Button)

Hold Spacebar or middle mouse button to pan temporarily without switching away from the active tool.

Merge Tool - M

Extends an existing area polygon by adding new geometry to it instead of drawing a new classification.

Subtract Tool - C 

Removes a portion of an existing polygon or cuts an opening to be filled with a different classification.

Split Tool - S

Divides an existing polygon or linear classification into multiple independent segments.

Measure Tool - D

Measures known dimensions on the drawing, typically used to verify or confirm scale.

Markup Tool

Annotation tools used to add notes, lines, shapes, or highlights for reference only (does not create quantities).

Undo

Reverts the most recent action.

Redo

Reapplies the most recently undone action.

History Tool

Shows a timeline of actions performed on the drawing, allowing review of changes over time.

Snapshot Tool

Captures a static visual snapshot of the current drawing view for reference or sharing.

Settings

Controls drawing-level preferences such as legend visibility, visual properties, and background image options.

Search

Opens AI-driven search tools (Text, Image, Pattern) to locate and convert drawing elements into classifications.

Scale Button

Displays the current drawing scale and allows manual scale setup or adjustment. Includes the auto-detected scale prompt.

2D/3D Button

Toggles between 2D plan view and 3D visualization to help validate geometry and spatial relationships.

Quantity Panel

Right-side panel where classifications, groups, and quantity totals are managed.

Add Classification (+)

Creates a new area, linear, or count classification.

Add Group (Folder)

Creates a folder in the Quantity Panel to organize classifications.

Library

Saved classifications that can be reused across drawings or projects.

Search Bar (Quantity Panel)

Filters classifications by name.

Hide All / Show All Button

Toggles the visibility of all classifications in the Quantity Panel on or off in the drawing view.

Visibility Toggle (Eye Icon)

Shows or hides a classification or takeoff on the drawing.

Isolate (Ctrl + Click Eye)

Temporarily hides all other classifications except the selected one.

Import Markup

Imports markups or annotations from the drawings.
