Using a library within the drawing editor

The library system allows you to quickly add classifications from your library to your project and from your project back to your library. 

Once you have set up a library you can begin to use those classifications for all your projects. You can drag over individual classifications or classification folders into your quantity panel to use for your takeoffs.

You can use "Classification Folders", "Classification Subfolders" and "Classifications" from both your "Organization" and "Private" libraries for any project.

To access your library

  1. From the drawing editor, click on the book symbol in the top right hand corner of the quantities panel.Access Library
  2. You will now be able to view and select your organization libraries. If you prefer to use a private library instead, simply click on "Private" to switch over.
  3. Now select the library "Set" you would like to use, click the arrow to expand and see all the folders and classifications available within.

 

Using classifications from your library:

  1. You can drag over any "Classification Folders", "Subfolders" or individual "Classifications" into the quantity panel by holding down Left Click and dragging it over into the quantity panel.
  2. These classifications can now be used in your takeoff.
  3. You can update your library through this menu as well. You can transfer a "Classification Folder", "Subfolder" or individual "Classifications" from the quantity panel into a library set for future use.
  4. You can create subfolder from within the drawing editor. Click the folder icon next to the classification folder name to open the subfolder menu and create a subfolder.
  5. The folders and subfolders will be reflected on the quantity panel.
